Showcasing Your Work¶
As you move through your mentorship program, it's a good idea to start thinking about how you'll share your work with the LFDT community. Below are several opportunities to get involved. Reach out anytime at mentorship@lfdecentralizedtrust.org with questions.
Show & Tell: Present at a Virtual Meetup¶
Host a virtual LFDT meetup to demo your project to our global community. You can present solo, alongside other mentees on your project, or together with your mentor.

Write a Blog Post for the LFDT Website¶
Share your mentorship experience and contributions through a post on the LFDT blog. Two series are open to you:
- Developer Showcase Series — highlight your technical work
- Mentorship Blog Series — reflect on your program experience (best suited toward the end of the program)
Email marketing@lfdecentralizedtrust.org to express interest.

Speak at or Attend LF / LFDT Events¶
Presenting at an event is one of the best ways to showcase your project. A few tips to start now:
- Ask your mentor which events would be the best fit for your project
- LFDT Maintainer Days are ideal (dates TBD), as are events tied directly to your project
- The Linux Foundation hosts open source events across North America, Europe and Asia
- Start scanning Q1–Q2 events for next year and talk with your mentor about the opportunity
Where to look:
Travel Fund¶
A limited travel fund is available to up to 5 exceptional mentees and mentors to attend an in-person event where they'll present their mentorship project.
- Available only at the end of a successful mentorship
- An application form will be shared for review near the end of the program
- You can start researching relevant events and discussing options with your mentor now
Share Your Insights (End of Program)¶
At the close of the program, we'll invite both mentees and mentors to submit testimonials for a wrap-up blog post. It's a chance to share your experience with the community and help prospective participants understand how the program works and what they'll gain.
We'll follow up with details as the program wraps. For reference, see a past wrap-up post with mentor and mentee testimonials.
